Basic Skills Agency
The Bookstart Book Crawl is a new library-joining scheme to encourage children aged four and below to come along and enjoy the library. Children and even on-day-old babies are invited to join the library and get their own library ticket. They are given a collection card that is stamped each time they visit.

When the card is complete children are awarded a special Bookstart Book Crawl certificate. The first certificate is designed by the artist Helen Offen. Certificates will also be produced by other artists so that children can do lots of Book Crawls and build up a collection of beautiful certificates as mementos of their earliest years as library members
