Lesson 8 - Support Work

Listening exercise:
Track 7, 'The Four Seasons': Andante from Winter Vivaldi
Track 9, Symphony No. 6 'The Pastorale' Beethoven
Track 11, Raindrop Prelude Chopin

Equipment supplied:
CD Work sheet

Equipment needed:
CD player
Crayons / pens / pencils

Instructions:

The children will need a worksheet each and access to crayons/pens/pencils. Once they have written their names on the sheets they should be instructed to listen carefully to the music.

They will hear three pieces:
The first (track 7) corresponds to box 1
The second (track 9) corresponds to box 2
The third (track 11) corresponds to box 3

Whilst listening to the music they should place any images, colours or words that come into their heads in the box.

N.B. The first two pieces are short and may be listened to all the way through however the other may be faded out after two minutes if the teacher wishes.
