Theatr Na N'Og Big
Bad Wolf OH WHAT BIG AUDIENCES YOU HAVE!!! Big Bad Wolf is Theatr na n’Og’s current Theatre-in-Education project for Years 1 & 2, touring infants schools in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend from 22 April to 16 July 2004.
Bullies everywhere beware because Little Red Riding Hood is here to save the day! The well known stories of the Three Little Pigs, The Wolf and the Seven Kids and Little Red Riding Hood are weaved together to create an exciting new play by Theatr na n’Og, directed by the company’s Artistic Director, Geinor Jones. Only Little Red Riding Hood can help Little Pig and the Little Kid scare off the Big Bad Wolf. She can help her friends but can she help the person who needs her help the most? - The Big Bad Wolf! This musical play for very young children (5 -7) features original songs and the first class performance schools have come to expect from Theatr na n’Og. Over 3000 children from over 75 schools will have seen the production by 16 July. The production will also tour to Special Needs schools thanks to a donation from the Barclays Community Investment Programme. The play and the accompanying education resources have been especially adapted to make the production as accessible as possible to young people with special needs. What the schools have said so far: “The subject
matter and language used were ‘spot on’ and the characters, “Absolutely brilliant!” “The best project yet. Well done!” ‘It was pitched exactly right for the group of infant children.” “The children were responsive and enthusiastic throughout the performance.” ENDS. |
